We strive to maximize the patient’s insurance benefits and make them easy to manage, while making any remaining balances easy to afford. Dr. Schmidt’s office accepts most dental insurance programs used by major employers in the area including: Delta Dental, Aetna, Metlife, Cigna, and Guardian.
About the Dentist:
Dr. George Schmidt has practiced in the Whippany, New Jersey area for the past ten years. A New Jersey native, Dr. Schmidt attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. He received his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
While in graduate school, Dr. Schmidt received numerous academic and patient care awards. In addition, he was inducted into the prestigious OKU dental society, which admits only a select few graduates from each dental school. Those admitted must be at or near the top of their class and meet stringent admission requirements. In addition, Dr. Schmidt served as class president and was later elected to the position of president of the entire student body, which numbered over 400.
He regularly attends continuing education classes with the Bear Brook study club as well as the prestigious and award winning Seattle study group. Dr. Schmidt has completed many hours of post graduate education in fields such as Implant dentistry, root canal therapy, oral surgery, TMJ therapy, gum diseases, cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, and orthodontics, to name a few.
